Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to expand our customer base and develop long-term relationships with manufacturing companies. This individual will focus on selling transportation solutions while leveraging a dedicated operations team that manages day-to-day freight execution.

The ideal candidate is relationship-oriented, understands the value of consultative selling, and is motivated to grow a book of business over time rather than chase transactional freight opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities within manufacturing and industrial markets.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Sell LTL and truckload transportation solutions, with the ability to support international freight requirements.
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for customers.
  • Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure exceptional service.
  • Utilize CRM and TMS systems to maintain customer visibility and pipeline management.
  • Participate in strategic account development and growth initiatives.
  • Maintain visibility into customer freight activity while allowing operations teams to manage execution.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of transportation sales experience preferred.
  • Existing book of business is highly desirable but not required for exceptional candidates.
  • Experience selling LTL and truckload services.
  • Manufacturing customer relationships strongly preferred.
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or other CRM platforms is a plus.
