Sales Executive
Job Description:
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to expand our customer base and develop long-term relationships with manufacturing companies. This individual will focus on selling transportation solutions while leveraging a dedicated operations team that manages day-to-day freight execution.
The ideal candidate is relationship-oriented, understands the value of consultative selling, and is motivated to grow a book of business over time rather than chase transactional freight opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities within manufacturing and industrial markets.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Sell LTL and truckload transportation solutions, with the ability to support international freight requirements.
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for customers.
- Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure exceptional service.
- Utilize CRM and TMS systems to maintain customer visibility and pipeline management.
- Participate in strategic account development and growth initiatives.
- Maintain visibility into customer freight activity while allowing operations teams to manage execution.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of transportation sales experience preferred.
- Existing book of business is highly desirable but not required for exceptional candidates.
- Experience selling LTL and truckload services.
- Manufacturing customer relationships strongly preferred.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with HubSpot or other CRM platforms is a plus.
